The five 2026 colours
Every Light Bee X for sale UK-wide from us is one of five colours: Black, White, Lapis Blue, Purple and Sage Green. Components are identical across all five. Sage Green and Purple tend to sell out first; Black and Lapis Blue are restocked most often.
- Black – understated, easiest to keep clean, usually in stock.
- White – shows the forged frame off; needs washing more.
- Lapis Blue – the signature Sur-Ron look.
- Purple – the one that gets photographed.
- Sage Green – quiet, and the first to go.

How stock works, and how to secure a bike
Bikes arrive from Sur-Ron’s UK distribution in batches, so a colour can be on the floor one week and gone the next. The product page shows what is physically in stock. If your colour is unavailable, message us: we usually know the next delivery date, and a 50% deposit will hold one from that delivery for you.
A lot of customers reserve first and pay the rest later. Pay 50% by bank transfer or crypto, we take the bike off sale, and you clear the balance before delivery or collection – details are on our finance and reservations page. Message us before paying a deposit so we can confirm your colour is physically in stock.
Light Bee X for sale UK: what is included
We do not post bikes in a box. A Light Bee X is pre-delivery inspected and charged in Coalville, then driven to you in our van (£19.99 inside 150 miles of the showroom, a quote beyond that) or handed over in person if you collect. Collection is free, and it is the best option if you want to sit on the bike, ask questions and see the parts counter.
Timescales are short: orders are processed within 24 hours of payment clearing, and most deliveries happen within a few days depending on where you are. If anything arrives damaged, our returns policy explains exactly what happens next.
Whether you collect or we deliver, the hand-over is the same: battery in and out, charger connected, ride modes explained, seat set for the rider, paperwork in your hand. Ask anything then or on WhatsApp afterwards; the person who answers is the person who checked the bike.

The law for any Light Bee X for sale UK-wide
The Light Bee X is not road legal in the UK and no dealer can make it so. It does not meet the electrically assisted pedal cycle rules – there are no pedals and it is far more powerful than 250 W – and it has no type approval as a moped or motorcycle. It is a purpose-built off-road machine and is sold on that basis.
That means private land with the landowner’s permission, pay-and-play venues, motocross practice tracks that welcome electric bikes and farmland. Public roads, pavements, parks, footpaths, bridleways and byways are all out; they count as places the public has access to, and riding a motor vehicle on them is an offence whatever powers it.
If you need a road-legal bike, the Light Bee L1E is the same platform with type approval, £4,499, ridable from 16 with a CBT.
Light Bee X for sale UK vs L1E and Ultra Bee
Not sure the X is the right one? The whole 2026 range side by side:
| Bike | Peak power | Weight | Range | Road legal | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hyper Bee 2026 | 8 kW | 39 kg | 56 km | No | £2,995 |
| Light Bee X 2026 | 10 kW | 59 kg | 75 km | No | From £3,295 |
| Light Bee L1E 2026 | 10 kW | 62 kg | 75 km | Yes – L1e moped | £4,499 |
| Ultra Bee HP 2026 | 24.5 kW | 88.5 kg | 115 km | HP T only | From £5,999 |
For most adult riders who will keep the bike off-road, the Light Bee X is the sweet spot: light enough to lift into a van alone, fast enough to keep an experienced rider interested.

Surron E-Bikes is an authorised Sur-Ron dealer with a showroom and workshop in Coalville, Leicestershire, ten minutes off the M1. Every bike we sell is UK-supplied, pre-delivery inspected by our own technicians, and covered by a manufacturer warranty that is handled here rather than by posting parts abroad. We also carry one of the largest genuine Sur-Ron parts ranges in the country, so servicing and upgrades happen in one place.
We are also a third-party webshop that stocks selected products from other brands with their consent, which is why you will see more than one name in the catalogue. For the bikes themselves, though, the process is the same: one price, one workshop, one point of contact on WhatsApp or email.

After you buy: first ride and venues
The near-silent motor is a real advantage when it comes to venues. Tracks close to housing that limit petrol sessions will often run extra electric sessions, and a landowner who would never allow a two-stroke on the farm will frequently say yes to a bike that makes no more noise than a mountain bike. Ask, and take the answer in writing if it is not a formal venue.
- Charge the battery fully indoors and fit it until it clicks.
- Check tyre pressures, the chain tension and that both brakes bite firmly.
- Set the seat height so the rider can get a foot down, and select Mode 1.
- Ride slowly on flat ground first – the throttle is instant and there is no clutch to modulate it.
- Step up a mode only when the rider is bored of the current one, not before.

Light Bee X for sale UK: the short version
- Every Light Bee X for sale UK-wide from us is the 2026 bike: 10 kW, 72 V 35 Ah, 59 kg.
- From £3,295 including VAT, five colours, live stock on the product page.
- £19.99 van delivery within 150 miles of Coalville, free collection, 50% deposit option.
- Inspected, charged and handed over with a UK-honoured warranty.

On hand-over – at the showroom or from the van – we show you how the battery locks in and lifts out, how the charger connects, how to switch ride modes, and where the serial numbers are. It takes ten minutes and it saves a lot of messages later. If the rider is there, we set the seat height and pick a starting mode with them.
If any of the terminology is new, here is a quick glossary:
- PDI – pre-delivery inspection: the checks a dealer makes before the bike leaves.
- Big Wheel / Small Wheel – the two Hyper Bee wheel formats, 14/12 and 12/10 inches.
- Ride modes – selectable power levels; Mode 1 is the gentlest.
- EAPC – electrically assisted pedal cycle, the 250 W legal e-bike category the Sur-Ron range is not part of.
- L1e – the EU/UK moped vehicle class; the Light Bee L1E is type-approved in it.
- Grey import – a bike bought abroad and shipped privately, usually without a UK warranty.
- Certificate of conformity – the document needed to register a type-approved bike with the DVLA.
- Energy recovery – regenerative braking that puts charge back into the battery on a closed throttle.
Looking after a Light Bee X for sale UK-wide once it is yours
Owning a Light Bee X costs a fraction of running a petrol equivalent. The 72 V 35 Ah pack charges in about 2.15 hours from 20% to 80% from a normal socket for pennies, and there is no engine oil, no air filter, no valve clearances and no clutch to replace. What wears is brake pads, the chain and sprockets and tyres – stocked in our Light Bee X parts range.
Battery care is the whole maintenance story. Keep it between roughly 20% and 80% when it is not being used, do not charge it while it is still hot from a hard ride, and never leave it empty over winter. Do that and the pack will hold its capacity for years.
Parts for any Light Bee X for sale UK-wide – pads, chains, sprockets, tyres, levers, guards – ship from Coalville from £4.98 with next-working-day options.
