Before you buy Hyper Bee 2026: what you are actually buying
The 2026 Hyper Bee is Sur-Ron’s junior electric motocross bike: 8 kW peak, 185 Nm of torque at the wheel, a 39 kg kerb weight and a removable 58 V 22 Ah battery good for up to 56 km of mixed riding. It has three ride modes, reverse, energy recovery and anti-wheelie control, and an adjustable seat height of 665–705 mm. There is no clutch and no gears, which is precisely why it is such a good first proper bike.
When you buy Hyper Bee 2026 from an authorised dealer, you get the complete factory package: bike, battery, UK charger and the paperwork, plus a pre-delivery inspection and a manufacturer warranty handled in the UK. That is the baseline every step below assumes. If a listing somewhere else is cheaper, it is usually because one of those pieces is missing.

Step 1 – Check the rider fits the bike
The single most useful thing you can do before you buy Hyper Bee 2026 is measure the rider. With the seat in its lowest 665 mm position most riders from around six or seven years old can get a foot down; with it raised to 705 mm the bike suits taller children, teenagers and smaller adults. The 39 kg weight means a teenager can pick it up after a fall without help, which matters more than any spec-sheet number for building confidence.
Ride modes do the rest. Mode 1 caps the speed and softens the throttle for a complete beginner, Mode 2 balances power and control, and Mode 3 unlocks the full 8 kW. That means a bike bought for a nervous ten-year-old is still the right bike two seasons later when they want to jump it. If the rider is over about 1.5 m tall and already experienced, look at the Light Bee X instead – it is the full-size step up.
- Rider under about 1.2 m: Small Wheel, seat at 665 mm, Mode 1 to start.
- Rider 1.2–1.5 m: Big Wheel, seat adjusted to suit, Modes 1–2.
- Rider over 1.5 m or an adult: Big Wheel is fine for play riding, but consider the Light Bee X for regular use.
Step 2 – Choose Big Wheel or Small Wheel, then a colour
The Big Wheel Hyper Bee runs a 14-inch front and 12-inch rear; the Small Wheel runs 12/10 and sits around 50 mm lower. The wheel sizes are interchangeable, so a Big Wheel bike can be converted later with a wheel kit from our parts range, which is why we stock the Big Wheel as standard – it covers the most riders for the longest time.
Colour is pure preference. For 2026 you can buy Hyper Bee 2026 in Hyper Blue, Fetch Light Green, Storm Pink or Surron Yellow, all at the same price and with identical components underneath. Stock rotates through the year; the product page shows what is physically on the floor, and if the colour you want is showing out of stock we usually know the next delivery date before the website does.

Step 3 – Compare the price and what is included
The Hyper Bee 2026 Big Wheel is £2,995 including VAT at Surron E-Bikes in every colour. There are no set-up fees, no “PDI charges” and no surprise extras at the till. When you compare that with another listing, compare like for like: is it a 2026 bike, is it the Big Wheel, is the charger a UK unit, does the price include VAT, and is there a UK warranty?
| Item | Included when you buy Hyper Bee 2026 from us |
|---|---|
| Bike | New 2026 Sur-Ron Hyper Bee Big Wheel in your chosen colour |
| Battery and charger | 58 V 22 Ah removable battery and UK-plug charger |
| Pre-delivery inspection | Torque check, brakes, spokes, bearings, charge and controller settings |
| Warranty | Manufacturer warranty handled in our Coalville workshop |
| Paperwork | Invoice with frame and battery serial numbers for insurance |
| Delivery | £19.99 in our van within 150 miles; free collection |
Because the bike is off-road only there is no registration, tax or number plate to add. Budget for riding kit if the rider does not already have it, and for a decent lock.
Step 4 – Order online, on WhatsApp or in the showroom
There are three ways to buy Hyper Bee 2026 from us and they all end up in the same place: a bike reserved in your name and a payment confirmation from our customer service team.
- Pick your colour on the Hyper Bee product page and add the bike to your basket, or message us on WhatsApp with what you want.
- Choose delivery in our own van (£19.99 within 150 miles of our LE67 postcode, quoted beyond that) or free collection from the showroom in Coalville.
- Pay by bank transfer or cryptocurrency. We never print bank details on the website; they are emailed to you from contact@surronebike.org once you have ordered.
- We confirm payment, carry out the pre-delivery inspection and either book your delivery date or tell you the bike is ready to collect. Orders are processed within 24 hours.
If you would rather secure a bike now and pay the balance a little later, our reservation plan lets you hold a Hyper Bee with a 50% deposit. There is no credit application and no waiting for a decision: you pay half, the bike comes off sale, and the remaining 50% is paid before delivery or collection on a date agreed with you.

Step 5 – Delivery, collection and the pre-delivery inspection
Every Hyper Bee we sell goes through the workshop before it leaves: battery charged, brakes bled and checked, spokes and bearings inspected, every fastener we can reach torque-checked and the controller verified on the current settings. It is why our bikes arrive ready to ride rather than ready to assemble.
Bikes are delivered in our own dedicated van – £19.99 within 150 miles of LE67 2QE, quoted before you pay if you are further away – and we agree the date with you before anything moves. Collection from the showroom is free and we walk you round the bike before you leave. Full terms are on the delivery and returns page.

Step 6 – Get the kit and somewhere to ride
The Hyper Bee is not road legal in the UK and no dealer can make it so. It does not meet the electrically assisted pedal cycle rules – there are no pedals and it is far more powerful than 250 W – and it has no type approval as a moped or motorcycle. It is a purpose-built off-road machine and is sold on that basis.
That means private land with the landowner’s permission, pay-and-play venues, motocross practice tracks that welcome electric bikes and farmland. Public roads, pavements, parks, footpaths, bridleways and byways are all out; they count as places the public has access to, and riding a motor vehicle on them is an offence whatever powers it.
Sort the kit at the same time you buy Hyper Bee 2026 so the first ride is not delayed:
- A CE-marked helmet (a motocross lid, not a bicycle helmet), goggles, gloves and proper boots.
- A chest protector and knee guards for younger riders – the bike is quick enough to deserve them.
- A good lock and, if the bike lives in a shed, a ground anchor; electric dirt bikes are attractive to thieves because they are quiet and light.
- A spare set of brake pads and a chain lube – the two things that run out first.
Common mistakes when you buy Hyper Bee 2026
We see the same handful of mistakes every season. None of them are expensive if you know about them in advance.
- Buying too small. A Small Wheel bought for a fast-growing eleven-year-old is outgrown in a year. If in doubt, Big Wheel with the seat down.
- Buying a grey import to save £200. No UK warranty, sometimes an EU charger, and the parts counter cannot always help. The saving evaporates the first time something needs a claim.
- Skipping the inspection. A bike straight out of the crate has bolts that need torquing and brakes that need bleeding. Ours have had it done.
- Storing the battery flat. The one way to shorten the life of a Sur-Ron battery is to leave it empty in a cold shed all winter.
- Riding it in the park. It is an off-road bike. Public land is not off-road land.
Avoid those five and the Hyper Bee is one of the easiest bikes there is to own: no fuel, no oil, no noise complaints and a battery that charges from a kitchen socket.
Why buy Hyper Bee 2026 from Surron E-Bikes
Surron E-Bikes is an authorised Sur-Ron dealer with a showroom and workshop in Coalville, Leicestershire, ten minutes off the M1. Every bike we sell is UK-supplied, pre-delivery inspected by our own technicians, and covered by a manufacturer warranty that is handled here rather than by posting parts abroad. We also carry one of the largest genuine Sur-Ron parts ranges in the country, so servicing and upgrades happen in one place.
We are also a third-party webshop that stocks selected products from other brands with their consent, which is why you will see more than one name in the catalogue. For the bikes themselves, though, the process is the same: one price, one workshop, one point of contact on WhatsApp or email.

Buy Hyper Bee 2026: the full specification
Before you buy Hyper Bee 2026 it is worth reading the whole spec once, because a lot of listings quote only the headline power figure.

Your first ride after you buy Hyper Bee 2026
The first hour matters more than the first month. When you buy Hyper Bee 2026 from us the bike arrives charged and inspected, so the first ride is about the rider, not the bike.
- Charge the battery fully indoors and fit it until it clicks.
- Check tyre pressures, the chain tension and that both brakes bite firmly.
- Set the seat height so the rider can get a foot down, and select Mode 1.
- Ride slowly on flat ground first – the throttle is instant and there is no clutch to modulate it.
- Step up a mode only when the rider is bored of the current one, not before.
Finding somewhere to ride is easier than it used to be. Search for motocross practice tracks and pay-and-play venues within an hour of you, phone to check they accept electric bikes and the rider’s age group, and ask about electric-only or youth sessions – many venues now run them because electric bikes solve their noise problem. Youth motocross clubs affiliated to the ACU are the other route, and club membership usually includes third-party cover.

No. It is an off-road bike with no type approval. It must be ridden on private land with permission or at an off-road venue.
What age is the Hyper Bee 2026 for?
With the seat at 665 mm most riders from around six or seven can reach the ground, and the three ride modes let you limit the power. Teenagers and smaller adults ride it too.

Does the price change if I buy Hyper Bee 2026 in a different colour?
No. All four colours are £2,995 including VAT, and the Big Wheel is the standard model we stock.
That is the whole process. Measure the rider, pick Big Wheel, choose a colour, check the price includes everything, order in whichever way suits you and let the workshop do the rest. Buy Hyper Bee 2026 here, or read the rest of our Sur-Ron guides if you are still deciding between models.
